My passion for avocados and citrus
Born in San Diego and raised in Arcadia, developing a love for avocados from our backyard trees, my journey into the Avocado business began over 40 years ago. While working as a general contractor, I planted the first 100 avocado trees on my ranch in Fallbrook, quickly falling in love with the business and the peace & quiet of the orchard. This led me over the next few years to work towards establishing a large, 65-acre "high density" avocado farming operation.
Over the last decade, research has shown that including Avocados in your daily diet can be an incredibly healthy addition to your "Gut Biome" which helps to keep everything in balance in your bodies digestive system and keeps your body functioning at its absolute best!! "Work with Nature--Not against it"
**What makes my approach to Avocado growing different is a "genuine love for what I do", waking up every day excited to get out there to produce this incredibly nutritious food for people and contributing to the continuing growth of this industry!!

Experience that drives high yields
My extensive background, including owning and managing my own large avocado ranch for many years, and then managing the southern operations for a much larger Avocado growing company for the last 6 years, has provided invaluable lessons. I’ve learned firsthand what production strategies work and, crucially, what doesn't. This experience has honed my skills as a grower, enabling me to consistently achieve "high-yielding" results for my clients. A cornerstone of this success, which I cannot stress enough, is the paramount importance of a strong soil biome. This promotes a diverse culture of beneficial bacteria & fungi that creates a robust soil structure, naturally empowering the trees to resist environmental stressors. With the arrival of all the newer clonal rootstocks these days, it is extremely important to select a rootstock that performs well in your particular situation, whether you are replanting in an old area of trees or starting a new grove from scratch, working to match your new rootstock with your soil type will help to insure your success !!
"Healthy soil is far more than just dirt--It is a Living Ecosystem that drives plant productivity from the ground up" !!
So the Question is::
WHO'S WATCHING OUT FOR YOUR GROVE ??

Holistic soil health for thriving groves
To me, a strong soil biome system promoting healthy soil embodies a holistic approach to overall grove management. My core belief is that when every element within the farming operation is in "balance," that is precisely when you will observe your most exceptional results. This equilibrium empowers avocado and citrus trees to develop stronger root systems, enhance nutrient uptake, and build resilience against various challenges, from pests to unpredictable weather patterns.
